Check out SketchSynth – A student design project at Carnegie Mellon projecting virtual controls into real spaces. With the coming age of augmented reality, where every surface is an interface and Google Glasses are the norm – why should we limit ourselves to interfaces developed by someone else? Workshop ideas: Actually getting people to collaborate

Charrette: a workshop w/ intense periods of design activity I’ve recently gotten involved with an NSF group working on data sharing between scientists through the Earth Cube project (more on that in another post). They’ve tried various ways of getting people collaborating on ideas and proposals, and the most successful event by far was a charrette held earlier this month.
